I hate waking up early...


Well, I've started working out with a personal trainer for the past 3 weeks. I figure that after 4 kids and a relatively sedentary work-life, I needed to get the body moving again. The past couple weeks have been interesting as I have been getting up at 6:30am every day (argh!) which is actually a good thing. The only real downfall for me is that I'm used to being a bit of a night owl, but I find myself tired after 10:00pm each night. Truthfully, I think I'm actually getting to that phase where you start looking forward to working out. Maybe "looking forward" is a strong statement, but in fact I don't mind it.

Today was pretty funny though. I woke up at 5:45am for a visit to the water closet, and I noticed the time as I climbed back in bed. I thought it was odd that it wasn't lighter outside and as I was falling back asleep it struck me that I'd set my alarm for 6:30am (as usual). Unfortunately, I also thought it was Saturday. So I actually took the time to turn off my alarm "since I would be able to sleep in". Needless to say I was rudely awakened by my work-out partner at 7:00am who was also running late. Our trainer was rather annoyed that we were late, but he did manage to get even and I suppose my body will be particularly achy tomorrow. At least for now I can go to sleep and tomorrow really is Saturday, so that means...
